The Fire Inside

THE FIRE INSIDE: A burst of flames greets Fredericton Firefighter George Brawn, right, as he opens the drivers door of a burning car to expose the fire inside. Captain John Harding gets ready to blast the flames with water and foam. The next photo shows Harding as he continues to work to bring the car fire under control as high winds help to reignite the flames.

It has been a busy week following the Fredericton Fire Department as they celebrate their 185th anniversary. The photos below show a garage fire I also shot them at.

Lost in smoke

It has been a busy week following the Fredericton Fire Department as they celebrate their 185th anniversary. At a garage fire earlier in the week I shot this photo of Fredericton Firefighters Ashley Graham, left, and Steve Schwartz as they are engulfed in smoke while they work behind what is left of a tractor. Below, a Firefighter uses a hook to pull down some of the burnt roof, and in the second shot gets what he was looking for.
