Heavy rains caused
extensive flooding in the Oromocto area near Fredericton, NB Tuesday, July 23, 2002.
New Brunswick was under a tornado watch as basements, pools and homes were flooded
and some streets were turned into rivers.
Above, Andrew Lindsay, 13, tries to make his way along Waasis road where part of the road
had washed out, while below the woman in the red car tries to get out of the way of
an Oromocto fire truck as it doesn't slow for the flooded streets on its way to a call.

There is of course a positive side to everything as below Andrew Lindsay, 13, had fun
using the flood waters to slide down a grass bank.
